First Friends Ltd. is a family-owned business operating six day nurseries in South East England, with locations in Basingstoke, Denmead, New Milton, Alton, Holybourne and Eastleigh. We are deeply integrated into our local communities, offering a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow through play. Our mission is to remain the nursery of choice by catering to the unique needs of each family. At First Friends, we are dedicated to fostering joy, learning, and development for every child in our care.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Early Childhood Educator located in our Holybourne nursery. The role will involve planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to support children's development, creating a safe and engaging environment, and working closely with children to foster their growth through play and learning. The Early Childhood Educator will also maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, track developmental milestones, and ensure alignment with best practices in childcare.

Holybourne opened in January this year and already has a small, friendly team. As our number of children continues to grow, we’re now looking to expand our team. We offer exciting opportunities for development and career progression, and we’re also looking forward to opening a sensory room and baby room later this year.

Qualifications

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and effective communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Early Childhood Development principles and strategies
  • Ability to work creatively and flexibility in engaging children in activities
  • Experience working with children and fostering their growth
  • Exceptional Organization Skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Relevant childcare qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, are preferred
  • Commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing of children in a nursery setting
