We are currently recruiting a Domiciliary Care Worker to support individuals in their own homes across the Southampton area. This is a rewarding role for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care within the community.

Due to the nature of personal care required by some service users, this role is open to female applicants only, in line with a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010. Applicants must be drivers with access to a suitable vehicle, as the role involves travelling between service users’ homes.

  • Provide personal care support including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence care
  • Assist service users with mobility, including safe moving and handling in their own homes
  • Support with medication prompts and administration (where trained and authorised)
  • Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with light household tasks related to the service user’s care
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice at all times
  • Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
  • Accurately record care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
  • Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies at all times

Essential requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in domiciliary or community care
  • Moving and Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
