3 Bed Home - Reopening

Our client is a Good-rated Ofsted regulated organisation, committed to putting young people at the centre of everything they do. They provide safe, supportive and nurturing environments that allow children and young people to thrive, achieve their full potential, and successfully transition into adulthood. My client is excited to reopen their 3 bed children's home in London and are now seeking an experienced, professional and motivated Registered Manager to lead the service.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Children's Home Regulations.
  • Lead, motivate and support the staff team to provide a safe, nurturing and structured environment for young people aged 11-17 with challenging behaviours.
  • Ensure care delivery is focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for young people.
  • Take responsibility for strategic planning, rota management, safeguarding and staff development.
  • Maintain effective partnerships with professionals, agencies and the local community.
  • Take a proactive role in staff supervision, mentoring, training, and ensuring high practice standards.

Requirements

  • Experienced: 2-3 years' Registered Manager experience in a children's residential setting, with strong safeguarding knowledge.
  • Qualified: NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) and NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent).
  • Knowledgeable: Strong understanding of the Children's Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, and Ofsted regulations.
  • Skilled: Excellent leadership, organisational, communication and report-writing skills.
  • Flexible: Willing to manage own rota, including evenings, weekends and occasional night shifts to ensure safe staffing levels.
