Hourly rate: National Living Wage, with rates of up to £13.15 per hour (depending on experience)

Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts available, including days, nights, sleep-ins, weekends and long days.

About the Role

At First for Support, we're looking for compassionate and reliable Children's Support Workers to join our growing team, providing temporary staffing to children's homes in Hampshire.

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll play an important role in supporting children and young people in residential care settings. You will help provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment, build positive relationships and support young people with their daily routines, activities, education and emotional wellbeing. No two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying the flexibility that temporary work offers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships.
  • Support daily routines, activities and independence.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
  • Complete accurate daily records and reports.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and alongside other professionals.

  • Have previous experience in a similar role as a Children's Support Worker.
  • Are reliable, professional and able to work alone as well as part of a team.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy building meaningful relationships.
  • Are caring, patient and resilient.
  • Are able to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
