We are currently recruiting a Domiciliary Care Worker to support individuals in their own homes across the Southampton area. This is a rewarding role for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care within the community.
Applicants must be drivers with access to a suitable vehicle, as the role involves travelling between service users’ homes.
- Provide personal care support including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence care
- Assist service users with mobility, including safe moving and handling in their own homes
- Support with medication prompts and administration (where trained and authorised)
- Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with light household tasks related to the service user’s care
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice at all times
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
- Accurately record care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
- Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies at all times
Essential requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
Desirable:
- Previous experience in domiciliary or community care
- Moving and Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
