First for Support is a boutique recruitment agency specializing in Social Care and Social Housing markets across Hampshire and Dorset. We focus on providing temporary staff who deliver consistent, high-quality care to clients and their service users. Our recruitment services include staffing for individuals with diverse needs, such as Mental Health, Special Educational Needs, Autism, and Challenging Behaviour. Along with temporary staffing, we offer temporary-to-permanent and permanent recruitment solutions. Our expertise ensures we match the right support professionals to each client’s unique setting.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Managing Consultant based in Southampton. The Managing Consultant will lead recruitment efforts, oversee the placement of qualified candidates, and ensure client satisfaction within the Social Care and Social Housing sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing recruitment pipelines, building relationships with both clients and candidates, developing recruitment strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role also involves mentoring team members and driving business growth through exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resource management
  • Strong organizational and project management skills for developing and overseeing recruitment strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with clients and candidates
  • Knowledge of Social Care and Social Housing sectors, with an understanding of the unique hiring needs in these areas
  • Experience mentoring or managing teams to achieve performance targets
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements within recruitment practices
  • Ability to work on-site in Southampton and thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fields is preferred
  • Prior experience working in Social Care or Social Housing sectors

Salary: £36,000 basic rising after passing probation, uncapped commission, OTE
