First for Support are looking for experienced Family Support Workers to join our agency staff team to help within upcoming temporary placements. You will play a vital role in providing assistance and guidance to families in need. This position involves working closely with children & babies and their families to promote well-being, enhance family functioning, and ensure the infants receive the necessary support for their development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children & babies and a commitment to fostering positive family dynamics.


Duties of a Family Support Worker
·Engage with families to assess their needs and develop tailored support plans.
·Provide practical assistance and emotional support to families facing challenges.
·Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of family interactions and outcomes.
·Promote positive parenting techniques and effective communication within the family unit.


Requirements
·Previous experience working with children, babies and families is essential.
·Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
·Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
·Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
·A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others.
·Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
This is a great opportunity for driven individuals, offering flexible shift pattern to suit individual needs. We are looking for people that are able to work day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and a thorough referencing procedure.
