First For Education are currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to work in secondary schools across Wolverhampton. We have a range of exciting opportunities available, including long-term, short-term and day-to-day supply, to suit your availability and career goals. This is an excellent opportunity for an English specialist who is enthusiastic about inspiring young people and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons. You must hold a QTS status to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)
  • Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assessing, marking and tracking pupil progress
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with school staff and following school policies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching English in UK secondary schools (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
  • Is adaptable, reliable and passionate about education
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
