SEND Teaching Assistant – Kidderminster First For Education is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Kidderminster, supporting pupils who require additional support to engage positively with education and reach their potential. This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people who may need a more individualised approach to learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing. The setting provides a supportive and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on building relationships, developing confidence and helping pupils make positive progress both academically and personally. SEND Teaching Assistant benefits: • Competitive daily rate £90–£110 per day, dependent on experience • PAYE paid weekly • Full-time, long-term opportunity • Access to SEND training and CPD opportunities • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement • £150 refer-a-friend scheme The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will: • Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs, • Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis • Have a calm, patient and resilient approach • Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils • Be confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation • Be proactive, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team Experience within a specialist provision, alternative provision, PRU or SEND setting would be beneficial, although applicants with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
