Children s SEND Worker

About the Role
We are looking for a caring, patient, and resilient Children s Care Worker to join our dedicated team supporting young people aged 8 – 18 in a nurturing residential environment. You will play a vital role in helping children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, or emotional and behavioural difficulties to feel safe, valued, and empowered to build positive futures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people.
- Help young people develop independence and life skills through positive routines and activities.
- Support education, health, and wellbeing in line with individual care plans.
- Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, teachers, and other professionals.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care.
About You
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with young people.
- Experience working with children or young people in a residential, educational, or community setting.
- Understanding of trauma, attachment, and emotional regulation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
