First For Education is seeking a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream school in Solihull working with pupils who require additional support to access learning. This is a full-time, long-term position, supporting pupils within a mainstream classroom environment. The role may involve working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups, depending on the needs of the school. SEN Teaching Assistant role requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN TA

- Understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language difficulties
- Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
