First For Education are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to work in secondary schools across Stourbridge and the surrounding areas. We have a variety of opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, short-term cover and long-term placements, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle and career plans.
This role is ideal for a Science specialist who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and supporting students to achieve their full potential. You must hold a QTS status to be considered for this position.
The Role:
- Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics)
- Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and creating a positive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with school staff and following safeguarding policies
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
- Has strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Is flexible, reliable and passionate about education
- Holds, or is willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS on the update service
