Job Description:
Office Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States
Scope and Contacts:
The incumbent is responsible for providing secondary market mortgage loans to consumers. They have extensive contacts with Bank customers, personnel, and outside entities such as real estate brokers, builders, title companies, private mortgage insurance companies, attorneys, and others to ensure competitive products that meet customer needs.
Essential Functions:
- Proactively solicit new prospects for residential mortgage secondary market loans through contacts and referrals with Bank customers and industry contacts;
- Conduct interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data and determine financing objectives;
- Advise customers on product and pricing policies, gather additional required information;
- Develop and maintain a network of personal and business relationships for referrals;
- Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulations;
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional ethics;
- Participate in job-specific and bank training programs;
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies;
- Perform other duties as assigned;
- Support the organization’s sales and service culture, values, and policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- At least two years of mortgage loan experience and one year of real estate or sales experience;
- Bachelor’s Degree in real estate or finance may substitute experience;
- Knowledge of mortgage lending laws and regulations;
- Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA regulations and guidelines;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related applications;
- Ability to work independently;
- Professional demeanor, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
