Our yard operatives are multiskilled and carry out a variety of yard duties while helping to ensure orders are picked, labelled correctly and on time ready for delivery. This is a physically demanding role in a busy depot where Health and Safety regulations will be adhered to at all times. You play a vital role in ensuring excellent standards of service are provided. We require someone who wants to develop and progress within this role to obtain their FLT licence.

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Operational responsibilities:

  • Assist the FLT drivers to pick and prepare customer orders for delivery and collections.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well organised yard, including stock levels, stock rotation.
  • Provide friendly, helpful service to customers collecting orders.
  • Assist the safe loading and unloading of company, supplier and customer vehicles.
