Role: Class 2 HGV Driver
Reporting to: Transport Manager
As the face of First Fence, our drivers play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be the final touchpoint, ensuring customers receive a 5-star service consistently. This role requires flexibility to operate both our HGV and 7.2T vehicles, depending on delivery requirements.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate collection/delivery of products throughout the UK.
- Responsible and accountable for daily vehicle checks.
- Responsible for basic maintenance of equipment to ensure roadworthy at all times (bulbs, oil top up etc, all parts are provided).
- Report any defects on any equipment that you are using to your line Manager.
- Follow and comply with all Health and Safety practices, policies, procedures and relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Correct paperwork to be completed accurately and handed to office as soon as possible.
- All errors relating to quality and quantity are to be raised immediately to your line Manager.
- Undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.

- You remain calm in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- You observe and comply with Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety procedures.
- All employees are responsible for Health and Safety of themselves, their colleagues and the whole site.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 HGV Driving Licence (held for a minimum of 1 year)
- Valid UK Driver CPC Card.
- Valid UK Digital Tachograph Card.
- Ideally you have an accredited Moffett License, however, training will be provided if you do not.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of UK Driving Hours rules.
- Physical fitness and strength.
- This is a TRAMPING position, nights out expected Monday – Thursday.
