Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Location: Kiln Way, Swadlincote, DE11 8EA
This position requires significant flexibility to collaborate effectively with our US-based team. The candidate must be able to align their working hours with Central Daylight Time (CDT), which is six hours behind UK time (BST/GMT). Whilst some flexibility is possible, a substantial overlap with Texas business hours is a non-negotiable requirement of the role.
About the Role
First Fence, a market-leading UK supplier of fencing and gates, is undertaking a strategic expansion into the United States market. With seven established locations across the UK and a high-traffic e-commerce platform, we plan to launch a service-focused offering, commencing with initial operations in Texas. We are seeking a new technical team member to help facilitate this transition. This UK-based role is crucial for adapting our existing product portfolio for the US market, managing all associated technical data, and producing the high-quality drawings, renders, and manufacturing files required for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Measurement Systems: Full competency in converting between and working with both metric and imperial dimensions. Must demonstrate the ability to liaise technically using metric units whilst producing accurate technical drawings in imperial measurements.
- CAD Software: Proven experience and proficiency with 3D CAD packages, specifically SolidEdge and SolidWorks.
- Rendering: Demonstrable skill in using KeyShot software for high-fidelity product rendering and animation.
- Data Management: A solid understanding of SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) management, part numbering conventions, and robust technical file/data management.
