Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 07:00-20:00
Location: Nunn Brook Rise, Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire NG17 1TD

Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee daily yard operations including loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of goods, and vehicles. Schedule and coordinate yard activities to meet production, transport, and delivery timelines. Monitor yard layout and ensure optimal space utilisation and organisation. Inspect incoming and outgoing stock for accuracy, quality, and safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movement logs, and yard documentation. Make improvements to yard processes.
- Team Supervision: Lead, train, and motivate yard team to maintain high standards of performance and safety. Assign tasks and monitor workloads to ensure efficiency and accountability. Conduct daily team briefings and weekly toolbox talks to communicate operational priorities and safety updates. Manage timekeeping, attendance, and performance reviews for yard personnel.
- Health, Safety, and Compliance: Enforce health and safety policies, including proper use of PPE and adherence to site regulations. Conduct routine spot checks of yard equipment and vehicles. Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and legal standards.
- Equipment and Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of yard vehicles (e.g., forklifts, loaders, cranes, etc.). Ensure equipment is used correctly and kept in good working condition.
- Communication and Coordination: Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and collections that come in/out to the yard. Flag and report any significant inventory changes to the office, focusing on high quantity products, items running on low inventory that require reordering, and slow-moving stock. Work closely with the Depot Manager, Assistant Manager, and office team.
