Our yard operatives are multiskilled and carry out a variety of yard duties while ensuring orders are picked, labelled correctly and on time ready for delivery. This is a physically demanding role in a busy depot where Health and Safety regulations will be adhered to at all times. You play a vital role in ensuring excellent standards of service are provided. We require someone who wants to develop and progress within this role to Yard Supervisor.
Reporting to: Depot Manager
Operational responsibilities:
- Pick and prepare customer orders for delivery and collections.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well organised yard, including stock levels, stock rotation.
- Responsible for daily FLT checks.
- Provide friendly, helpful service to customers collecting orders.
- Safety of loading and unloading of supplier and customer vehicles.
How you do it:
- You have an accredited Forklift Truck License essential.
- Previous experience in a Yard or a Warehouse.
- Physical fitness.
- Strong work ethic.
- Customer focused.
