Hours
50 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 06:00-22:00 with occasional Saturday working where required to support with customer orders.

We are looking for a motivated, hardworking Yard & Hire Operative to join our busy depot.
This is a hands-on role working with temporary fencing, crowd control barriers, hoarding panels and associated hire equipment, ensuring our customers receive quality products on time, every time.

Reporting to: Depot Manager
Operational responsibilities
You'll be responsible for the complete hire process from preparing equipment through to returns and quality inspections.
Your duties will include
- Picking customer orders accurately.
- Banding and securing loads safely.
- Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift.
- Checking all products meet our quality standards before leaving the depot.
- Processing returned hire equipment.
- Inspecting products for damage and arranging repairs where required.
- Completing all hire paperwork accurately.
- Maintaining stock accuracy.
- Keeping the yard clean, safe and organized.
- Assisting customers collecting or returning equipment.
- Carrying out occasional deliveries or collections when required.
- Working closely with the transport and operations teams to ensure deliveries leave on time.
- You have an accredited counterbalance Forklift Truck License essential
- You have a valid UK Driving Licence (held for a minimum of 1 year)
- No more than 6 Penalty Points on Licence
- Experience working within a hire, warehouse or builders merchant environment
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
