Salary

£16.00 per hour with a £1.50 shift premium

Hours

50 hours per week, Monday to Friday 16:00-00:00 with occasional Saturday working where required to support with customer orders.

Location

Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, NG17 1TD

You will be responsible for picking and preparing bulk stock movements for dispatch to our nationwide depots.

You will have to handle large, heavy, sometimes awkward size products - skilled forklift drivers are essential

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Operational responsibilities

  • Picking large-volume orders accurately using a forklift truck.
  • Loading and unloading articulated vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Moving stock throughout the warehouse and external yard.
  • Ensuring every order is picked accurately and dispatched on time.
  • Carrying out daily forklift safety checks.
  • Maintaining stock accuracy and assisting with stock counts.
  • Reporting damaged stock or shortages.
  • Keeping warehouse locations organised and clearly identified.
  • Following all health and safety procedures.
  • Working closely with the transport, planning and purchasing teams to ensure depot replenishment targets are achieved.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

How you do it

  • You have an accredited Forklift Truck License essential
  • Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Confidence handling long, heavy or bulky products.
  • High levels of accuracy when picking orders.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and dependable.
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
