Class 2 HGV Driver

Reporting to: Transport Manager

As the face of First Fence, our drivers play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be the final touchpoint, ensuring customers receive a 5-star service consistently. This role requires flexibility to operate both our HGV and 7.2T vehicles, depending on delivery requirements.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate collection/delivery of products throughout the UK.
  • Responsible and accountable for daily vehicle checks.
  • Responsible for basic maintenance of equipment to ensure roadworthy at all times (bulbs, oil top up etc, all parts are provided).
  • Report any defects on any equipment that you are using to your line Manager.
  • Follow and comply with all Health and Safety practices, policies, procedures and relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Correct paperwork to be completed accurately and handed to office as soon as possible.
  • All errors relating to quality and quantity are to be raised immediately to your line Manager.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.
