Position
Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, the post holder will play a vital role in driving sustained sales growth through proactive sales activity and the development of long-term customer relationships. Working in a fast-paced environment as a key member of the sales team, the post holder will focus on building, maintaining, and growing a portfolio of customers. This will be achieved through regular reaching out calls, customer visits, and scheduled meetings to understand client needs, encourage repeat orders, and identify opportunities to increase revenue. The role will also involve managing customer relationships, processing orders and payments, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey. The role is both demanding and rewarding and therefore requires flexibility, drive, initiative, and a strong relationship-led sales approach.
Our rapid growth means that we currently operate from six locations — our main head office in Swadlincote in the East Midlands, Tipton in the West Midlands, Nottingham, Canvey Island, Bristol, and Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive Sales Growth: Proactively conduct sales calls to existing and prospective customers to generate repeat business and new sales opportunities. Plan and attend customer visits and meetings to strengthen relationships, identify future requirements, and develop long-term sales growth. Convert sales opportunities through effective questioning, negotiation, and objection handling. Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services based on customer needs and purchasing patterns.
- Build and Maintain Strong Client Relationships: Develop trusted relationships with customers through regular contact, both remotely and face-to-face. Act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are understood and met to encourage loyalty and repeat orders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information within the CRM (e.g. Salesforce), demonstrating strong attention to detail.
- Optimise Sales Workflow: Effectively manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and relationship development through to order placement and account growth. Prioritise workload using strong organisational and time management skills to meet targets and deadlines. Work collaboratively with the wider sales team to share insights, support business objectives, and contribute positively to team performance.
- Embrace Continuous Learning: Remain adaptable by quickly learning new systems (including in-house software) and staying informed on product developments and industry trends. Proactively identify opportunities to develop customer relationships and improve sales performance, demonstrating a proactive and results-driven mindset.
