Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer

Initial 12 Month Contract. Aberdeen – Hybrid working of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home. Inside IR35 – PAYE set up.

A Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer is required on an initial 12 month contract basis that will be based in Aberdeen to work for an Oil & Gas operator offering a fantastic opportunity.

Purpose of Role

As the Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will provide discipline engineering support to UK operations to ensure equipment integrity and regularity, is the SECE Owner for Rotating Equipment, supports breakdowns, delivers the maintenance plan in accordance with maintenance strategy, provides input to maintenance budget and supports plant optimisation.

  • Critical Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and company HSES Procedures.
  • Assures Rotating SECE degradation / threat management risk assessments and maintenance deferment risk assessments.
  • Lead and manage to that all activities are carried out in a safe and environmentally prudent manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, company HSEQ procedures, Asset specific Performance Standards and Engineering Standards.
  • As the Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring equipment/system performance initiating and ensuring corrective actions.
  • Responsible for discipline engineering and maintenance support to UK operations.
  • Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with company Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.
  • Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence
  • Oversees Mechanical Rotating equipment SECE gap closure implementation plans.
  • Responsible to provide budget input/scope for maintenance and modifications.
  • As the Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for continuously challenging technical solutions, engineering performance and cost of modification projects.
  • Raise TWMs where complex technical solutions and modifications are required.
  • Provide an optimized preventive maintenance program, including detailed work packages for UK Operated Assets.
  • Assures Rotating equipment elements of the Technical Mo C Process.
  • As the Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for equipment performance including spare part management and warranty follow up.
  • Mobilise offshore as and when required by business.
  • The postholder may be required to join the emergency response rota should this become a requirement of the position.

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.

  • Educated to engineering degree level or satisfactory equivalent e. g. HND/HNC plus preferable qualifications/experience and/or vocational certificates.
  • Chartered Engineer Status and Corporate Member of a professional body preferred.
  • Understanding of processes required to meet HSE objectives. Fully conversant with UK regulatory environment.
  • As the Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will have significant operational and engineering experience.
  • Previous relevant technical experience.
  • Offshore experience.
  • Self-driven. Strong personal leadership and drive toward teamwork. Ability to perform effectively within a strong peer group and to drive toward optimal business solutions.
  • Good communicating, influencing, negotiating and networking skills. Builds excellent relationships. Respected internally and externally.
  • As the Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be able to drive continuous improvement and to instigate and make change happen.
  • Set ambitious, yet realistic goals and targets, and consistently achieve these.
  • Understanding of companies Corporate and Local budget, maintenance and project management processes and tools.
  • Awareness of companies HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS).
