About us
First Digital is a digital asset focused trust, custody, financial technology company at the vanguard of the emerging digitalization of assets, where the full value for your worldly assets can finally unite like other digital data. Our best‑in‑class custodian and near‑banking layer enables previously unattainable options for payments, asset management and access to products that can help enhance financial inclusion. Our infrastructure – including FDUSD, Asia’s 1st home‑grown blockchain‑based USD stable‑coin – is developed to help economies, institutions and developers gain access to technology breakthroughs and capitalize on the digital evolution of finance, trust, and technology.
Mobile took fifteen years to overtake desktop in ecommerce. The companies that built for mobile early in that arc — before the transition was obvious — defined what came after. Commerce is shifting again, this time to AI agents that shop, compare, book, and pay on behalf of consumers. We’re building the building blocks for that shift, and we’re hiring the executive who will lead the partnerships that build the network.
The role
You will own commercial growth for the unit. Two parallel partnership tracks, run as one motion: closing payment‑rail integrations with ecommerce platforms and the merchants on them, and closing partnerships with consumer apps that embed our capabilities.
What you’ll do
- Open doors. Use your network to get meetings with heads of payments, partnerships, and commerce at the platforms, merchants, and consumer apps we're targeting.
- Close the deals that build the network. Strategic, multi‑year, the kind that don't fit a standard contract template.
- Shape the playbook. Bring back what works, sharpen our targeting, and decide where we expand next.
What you bring
- A senior commerce or payments career — 12‑18 years at major commerce or payments companies. Ideally with time at the seam: running payments at a commerce platform, or commerce partnerships at a payments company.
- A real network. The kind where you can text someone and get a meeting in 48 hours with a senior decision‑maker at a major platform — not the kind where you start from cold LinkedIn messages.
- A track record of personally closing strategic deals, not supporting the team that closed them.
- Comfort being hands‑on. You will do your own outbound while the function is small.
- Conviction about where commerce is going. You see the channel shift, and you want to be there before the market arrives.
What you get
- A foundational commercial role at the leading edge of how commerce is changing.
- A working foundation on day one — with real influence over what we build next, informed by what you hear from merchants and partners.
- Compensation appropriate to seniority: base, equity, performance components. Specifics with finalists.
Where you can be based
APAC, EU, or US. Our core team is in Hong Kong, so meaningful working‑hours overlap matters.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
