The Opportunity
Were looking for a motivated individual to join us as an HR Advisor on a permanent, part-time basis, working, ideally, up to 22.5 hours per week. This is a hybrid role with attendance at the Exeter office required 2 days per week. For those looking for your next step up, you will be fully supported to complete your CIPD qualifications with the aim of becoming a Chartered Member.
The Role
As an HR Advisor, you will deliver a comprehensive, generalist HR service, supporting employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle. Working as a trusted partner to managers, you will be the first point of contact for HR queries, providing clear advice, guidance and coaching on people matters. You will manage the resolution of day-to-day employee relations issues and support more complex cases, whilst also co-ordinating core HR activities such as recruitment, performance processes, pay and benefits cycles, and learning and development.
- Maintain and update the HR database

- Contribute to HR projects, transformation initiatives and continuous improvement
- Support training and development activity
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain aligned with organisational strategy, employment legislation and best practice

About You
To be considered as an HR Advisor, you will need:
- Previous experience of working in an HR generalist environment, this does not necessarily have to be at an HR Advisor level
- Experience of dealing with simple employee relations cases and supporting more complex cases
- Knowledge of UK Employment Law and the full range of HR policies and procedures
You will be motivated to work towards your full CIPD qualification and Chartered Membership. You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work with employees on a wide variety of topics. You will also need to be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and HR Systems.
