Responsibilities include effective leadership and full managerial responsibility for the Medicine Division, developing a culture that ensures the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient/client care.
Delivery of the Division's operational and performance targets, achievement of local and national standards, human resources, quality, and governance targets.
In collaboration with the Divisional Clinical Director and Director of Nursing, work closely with other Divisional teams to ensure optimum performance, service integration, and contribute to the development of services within the local health economy.
Responsible and accountable for the delivery of all clinical and technical services within the Medicine Division, in line with relevant standards including but not limited to CQC, NHSLA, and other DoH standards.
Provide leadership and, in conjunction with the triumvirate relations with DCD and DDN, have full managerial responsibility for the Division, including day-to-day management of the Divisional Management Team and line management of the Directorate teams, empowering and inspiring staff to deliver excellent patient-centred care.
Accountable for the financial performance of the Division, ensuring required activity is delivered within budgetary constraints and cost improvement plans.
Develop the leadership, managerial, and business capability at all management levels to bring about effective sustained change and drive operational excellence, supporting the delivery of a High Performing Management System.
