First Class Childcare is an established independent nursery in Burntisland, Fife, providing high-quality early learning and childcare for children from birth to five years.

Alongside our nursery, children benefit from our private outdoor learning site set in a woodland a short 5 minute drive from our main site, providing a dedicated natural environment for Forest School, exploration, play and learning.

The Role
\n
\n
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Early Years Practitioner / Pre-School Teacher to join our team and take a key role within our pre-school provision.
\n
\n
You will help lead high-quality learning and teaching, support and inspire colleagues, and create engaging experiences that respond to children's interests, needs and development.
\n
\n
The role includes planning and evaluating children's learning, supporting positive transitions to primary school, developing strong relationships with families, modelling excellent practice and contributing to the continued development and improvement of our nursery and outdoor learning provision.

Skills & Experience
\n
\n
We are looking for someone who:
\n
- \n
- Holds a recognised qualification suitable for registration with the SSSC as an Early Years Practitioner, or an appropriate teaching qualification suitable for registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS)
- Has strong experience within early years and pre-school education
- Experience of inclusive approaches to meet the needs of all learners
- Has a sound working knowledge of the 3–5 curriculum, Curriculum for Excellence and high-quality play-based learning
- Understands and can confidently apply GIRFEC within everyday practice
- Has knowledge of the Care Inspectorate Quality Improvement Framework and understands what high-quality practice looks like within an early learning and childcare setting
- Understands the importance of meaningful, high-quality interactions and can model excellent practice
- Is confident in observation, planning and assessment, using children's interests, needs and development to inform learning experiences
- Can provide positive leadership, support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement
- Builds warm, professional relationships with children and families
- Is organised, reliable and committed to safeguarding and consistently high standards

This is a part-time position, with hours negotiable, offering an FTE salary of £26,600–£28,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
