The predicted salary is between 17 - 22 £ per hour.
A hands-on role to ensure the plant, machinery and equipment meets agreed standards of performance and improve the manufacturing operation within a shift-based team. Up to £22 per hour.
Main Duties:
- To work closely with the Shift Manager to assist with efficiency of equipment and quality of the manufactured bottle to meet agreed performance standards.
- To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance to agreed schedule, to agreed and accepted Company standards, and to comply with agreed safe working practices at all times.
- To monitor the performance of the machinery and equipment, and to be pro-active in avoiding downtime by initiating necessary improvement measures prior to failure.
- Ensure the fast resolution of any problems, and to ensure safety, optimize machine efficiency and minimize waste levels to achieve business targets.
- To suggest new projects or working practices to ensure continual improvement in health and safety, quality, performance and the general functioning of the site.
- To work closely with your colleagues to ensure the communication of all safety issues, quality and machinery problems that might affect safety or performance standards.
- Support the Engineering Team with repairs for any breakdown within the plant or site as requested.
- To assist with production, improvements, projects and reconfigurations as required.
- To carry out any reasonable request from your Shift Manager.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Time served engineer.
- Ability to fault-find with electrics and electronics.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Practical understanding of PLC equipment preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrates a hands-on results orientated approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
Hours of Work:
4 on / 4 off continental shift pattern, 2 days (06:00 to 18:00) / 2 nights (18:00 to 06:00).
