We are working with a freight company that is seeking an experienced and reliable person to manage 3rd party transport procurement. Responsible for sourcing and managing 3rd party transport solutions to fulfil freight requirements. This position coordinates transport solutions by selecting suitable carriers, negotiating competitive rates, and determining the most efficient routes and delivery timeframes. The objective is to ensure freight is moved safely, cost-effectively, and on time while maintaining strong relationships with 3rd party transport providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, negotiate, and purchase 3rd party transport services for the EU, Non EU/UK transport
  • Negotiate transport rates, routes, and delivery timeframes
  • Secure the most cost-effective and efficient transport solutions for Express, Same day, JIT, Full Load, Part Load and Groupage.
  • Liaise with carriers and ensure good relationships are made

Requirements:

  • Experience in freight, road freight and transport logistics
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of EU & Non EU/UK routes, pricing, and transport efficiency

This is a permanent position working with a growing freight business who have their own services network in Europe and operate 3rd party in the UK.
