The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Team Leader to join a busy recycling centre on the night shift. This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside the cleaning team, helping to ensure the site is kept clean, safe and operational throughout the night. You will act as a point of support for the Night Supervisor, helping to keep the team on track, ensuring cleaning duties are completed correctly, and assisting with any issues that arise during the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties across the recycling facility to a high standard.
- Support the Night Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the cleaning operation.
- Help ensure cleaning staff remain on task and complete their assigned duties.
- Lead by example and assist team members where required.
- Conduct basic checks to ensure work is completed to the required standard.
- Report any concerns, maintenance issues or health and safety hazards.
- Assist with the allocation of cleaning tasks when required.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Complete basic shift records and reports as requested.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within an industrial, warehouse, recycling or manufacturing environment.
- Some experience supporting or guiding a team would be beneficial.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking and proactive attitude.
- Understanding of health and safety practices.
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist where needed.
