Our Client is looking to add to their team. This will be a dual role between Driving a Van and Packing in the Warehouse.

Mon - Fri 08.00 - 17.00 or 09.00 - 18.00 (flexibility will be required for holiday cover etc).

We are looking for an energetic Driver/Warehouse and Packer to ensure the accurate, safe and timely packaging of products in accordance with regulations. You will operate warehouse equipment to build, pack and send consignments, as well as drive and collect items as instructed.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a packer or other warehouse position
  • Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
  • Experience in checking consignments for accuracy
  • Clean UK driving licence, with experience driving and over 25 years old to fulfil the company insurance policy requirements
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Great attention to detail
  • Diligent and punctual
  • Good physical strength and stamina
  • Understanding of General Packing Requirements for dangerous goods
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and check incoming consignments
  • Locate products and organise shipments to ensure no losses
  • Retrieve consignments and check them according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy
  • Build pallets and position them safely for loading or storage
  • Wrap orders before loading on trucks, or secure consignments upon loading
  • Re-stock packaging equipment inventory manually or with warehouse equipment
  • Keep records of completed and stored consignments
  • Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions
  • Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards
  • Ensure goods are collected, loaded and delivered in a safe and efficient manner
