Our client is an independent freight forwarder specialist within road and ocean freight, customs brokerage, and bespoke logistics solutions.
Key Focus Areas
- Coordination of Bremen 3PL warehouse operations
- European road freight planning and execution
- UK import/export customs support
- Assistance with multimodal freight operations
Responsibilities
- Bremen Project (Primary)
- Coordinate UK-Germany inbound shipments and EU outbound distribution
- Liaise with warehouse partners and customers
- Manage exceptions, stock alignment, and operational data
- Handle job costing, invoicing, and KPI reporting
- Procure freight and manage carrier relationships
- Prepare customer quotes and coordinate shipments
- Plan UK import deliveries and handle exceptions
- Prepare import/export declarations (including CFSP procedures)
- Ensure compliance and manage documentation (e.g. COO, EUR1)
- Maintain records in TMS (Scope) and support wider operations
Candidate Profile
- Essential:
- Experience in road freight or transport planning
- Knowledge of import/export customs declarations
- Strong organisation, communication, and multitasking skills
- Confident using IT systems and working independently
- EU distribution or groupage/full load experience
- CFSP/Inward Processing knowledge
- 3PL or warehouse operations exposure
Salary & Benefits
- £29,000-£32,000 (DOE)
- 24 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday leave (rising to 31 days)
- Hybrid working (2 days/week post-probation)
- Quarterly bonus (up to 10%)
