Our client is looking for a Night Shift Planner/Co-ordinator to join a well-established and growing operations team near London Heathrow. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of a 24/7 logistics operation, providing seamless service and communication between day and night operations.
Duties
- As a Night Shift Planner, you'll be a crucial point of contact between the night and day teams.
- You'll play a central role in creating, managing, and executing transport plans for the current and following day.
- Your ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to challenges will ensure our high standards of service delivery are consistently met.
- You’ll work closely with operations colleagues, customers, service partners (both UK and international), and our team of professional drivers.
This is a fast-paced role, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and is confident in decision-making and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute night transport plans, adjusting as needed in real-time.
- Communicate effectively with day shift supervisors to ensure seamless handovers.
- Liaise with customers, service partners, and internal teams to ensure service excellence.
- Manage and coordinate with a team of HGV drivers and monitor their schedules.
- Problem-solve and adapt plans to changing operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and internal procedures.
Required
- Minimum 2 years experience in Transport Planning.
- Knowledge of EU-UK customs procedures and ETSF: 1 year.
- Airfreight & HGV driver management experience: 2 years.
- Strong understanding of UK and European geography.
- Familiarity with various movement modes, especially airfreight.
- Solid grasp of driver legislation and transport regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively.
- Competent IT skills (Microsoft Office).
- Smart, professional appearance.
- Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively.
Salary up to £40,000. 4 on 4 off shift pattern: 19:00 - 07:00. Overtime opportunities available. Be part of a growing, collaborative, and high-performing team.
