The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Class 1 driver to cover both days and nights; the majority would be days and covering some night shifts when other colleagues are on annual leave. Most of the time would be covering holiday and sickness on days and driving various vehicles, such as fridge sprinter van, 7.5t, 18t & tractor and trailer. The work will be multi drop work max 10 per day in a certain area basically you will only cover the central belt of Scotland so no great distance.
Regarding the night shift cover it will be trunking down to Lymm Services trailer swap then back to Glasgow. Start time 17:30hrs and you would be back sometime around 04:00hrs the following morning.
Basic rate pay: £15.94
Midweek rate pay: £15.72
Overtime rate pay: £23.33
Ensuring that collections and deliveries are made on time, within regulations, and with minimal disruption. Securing and load cargo appropriately. Following all traffic laws and safety protocols. Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Drivers License.
- Proven track record driving a Class 1 vehicle.
- Hold a valid DQC and an up-to-date CPC.
- Driver Qualification Card.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to provide 5-year checkable history (no gaps longer than 28 days).
- Criminal Record Check prior to start date (obtained within 10 weeks).
- Flexible to meet the industry's requirements.
- Positive, flexible, can-do attitude and reliable.
