Shift: Monday – Friday Nights (17:00 – 04:00) with some weekend work.Shifts will be discussed in more depthPay: £16 per hour
The RoleOur client close to Heathrow is looking for a skilled 360 & Shovel Operator to handle SRF and waste materials safely and efficiently. Youll support the shredder, keep the plant clean, monitor material quality, and carry out fire and safety checks.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial HandlingFeed materials into the shredder evenlyRemove bulky or unsuitable items before processingKeep the tipping hall tidy and support quick vehicle unloadingReport any shredder issues or blockages
SRF OperationsKeep conveyors clear and materials contamination-freeLoad the right SRF type into the correct trailersInspect and clean trailers before/after loadingCommunicate with weighbridge staff to ensure accuracy
Machine Care & SafetyComplete daily checks on the 360 and shovelRefuel and top up AdBlue and oilsGrease and clean machines at shift endReport any faults or safety issuesCarry out fire watch duties and respond to incidents
General DutiesOperate other machines if certifiedSupport other site tasks when plant is not in useTake part in weekend loading rota when needed
What Youll NeedExperience with 360s and/or shovels (essential)Valid plant operator card (e.g. CPCS or NPORS – preferred)Good understanding of SRF/waste handlingPhysically fit and health & safety awareTeam player with clear communication
