Maintenance Fitter
Hours: 55 per week + on-call rota
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Our client is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team at a modern recycling facility. This is a hands-on role working on machinery used in the SRF production process. Main Duties
Maintain, repair, and install machinery (shredders, conveyors, balers, screens)
Carry out routine checks and preventative maintenance
Find and fix mechanical faults
Work with electrical and automation teams when needed
Take part in shutdowns, upgrades, and project work
Keep maintenance records up to date
Follow all health & safety procedures Experience Needed
Experience in recycling, waste, or similar industrial environments is ideal
Able to read mechanical drawings
CMMS knowledge is useful
Forklift, MEWP, or confined space certificates are a bonus Key Skills
Good problem-solving skills
Strong focus on safety
Able to work alone or as part of a team
Good communication and record-keeping
