Temp to Perm £12.71 - £14.24 per hour
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts. Candidates must be able to work all three shifts on a rotating basis: 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm, 10:00pm - 6:00am.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operative to work on a Masterfold gluing machine within a busy corrugated cardboard box manufacturing environment. While direct Masterfold experience is highly desirable, candidates with strong transferable skills from manufacturing or packaging environments will be considered, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor a Masterfold gluing machine to ensure efficient production.
- Adjust machinery to meet job specifications and quality standards.
- Carry out routine quality checks to ensure consistency.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and escalate faults where necessary.
- Meet production targets while minimising waste and downtime.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members and production staff.
- Complete basic production and quality documentation as required.
Skills Experience
- Previous experience operating a Masterfold machine (preferred).
- Experience with similar high-speed production or converting machinery considered.
- Strong mechanical awareness and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working a rotating 3-shift pattern.
