Our Client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader working on a 4 on 4 off shift basis.

Hours: 7am - 7pm

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Team Leader must maintain strong working relationships with the operational teams along with the Warehouse staff.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Assist with overseeing the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. Have first-hand involvement in the control and use of the warehouse facilities and staff ensuring the efficient and safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage safety through completing iAuditor daily audits.
  • Complete ad-hoc safety investigations.
  • Using in-house data to create plans to increase accuracy and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain the warehouse administration, stock accuracy and order picking tasks.
  • Manage your staff, build teams, coach employees and monitor operational performance.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, suppliers and colleagues in other depots and offices.
  • Oversee the receiving, storage and dispatch operations.
  • Ensure training is given and accurate records are received.
  • Quantify the quality of work through audit and checking others' work.
  • Ensure safe operations and adherence to HSE, environment and quality procedures.
  • Provide regular feedback to your line manager on the performance of your teams making sure you are running an operation in line with the expected KPIs.
  • Promote a team-work ethos and a can-do approach.
  • Ensure good standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the facility using the correct recycling bins provided.
  • Complete any other tasks as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
  • Own and develop your own process area.
  • Complete improvement projects.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Work with the management team to continually improve processes and business performance. Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Achieve agreed individual objectives. Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures relevant to the role.
