Courier Driver x3 Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:45 17:15 (30-minute break) or 08:30 18:00 Pay
Rate: £14.73 per hour We are currently recruiting for three Courier Drivers to join a well-established and growing business.
Drivers will complete an average of 6585 stops per day within designated local routes, providing a reliable and professional delivery and collection service.
Full training and ongoing support are provided, with structured training plans delivered directly by our Senior Team.
As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of shipments while delivering an excellent customer experience at every stage.
You will be expected to represent the company professionally and demonstrate its values and commitment to service excellence at all times.
Key Responsibilities Deliver and collect shipments accurately and efficiently within agreed timescales.
Complete multiple deliveries and collections involving parcels of varying sizes, shapes and weights.
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and ensure loads are secured correctly.
Record working and driving hours accurately in line with road transport regulations.
Follow all company driving standards, policies and procedures.
Sort and prioritise workloads to ensure service commitments are met.
Collect and process any Cash on Delivery (COD) payments where required.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Work collaboratively within the service centre team to achieve operational targets.
Comply with all applicable security, customs, import and export procedures.
Identify and report any sales or business development opportunities through the appropriate channels.
Attend training courses and take responsibility for personal development when required.
What We're Looking For Full UK Driving Licence.
C1 / 7.5 Tonne Licence (preferred).
Digital Tachograph Card or willingness to obtain one.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and planning abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Physically fit and capable of handling shipments safely, following manual handling procedures.
Important Requirements To comply with Drivers Negligence Insurance, applicants must: Be aged 25 years or over.
Have a minimum of 180 days' driving experience in this class of vehicle within the last 2 years.
Pre-Employment Checks Successful candidates will be subject to: 5-year employment and referencing checks.
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) screening.
