We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freight X-Ray Screener to join a busy freight and logistics operation based in Sunbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced X-Ray Screener looking for a permanent night-shift position within a fast-paced freight environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out X-ray screening of freight and cargo in line with security procedures
- Identify any prohibited, suspicious or potentially dangerous items
- Ensure all freight is screened accurately and efficiently
- Follow aviation security procedures and company guidelines at all times
- Complete relevant screening and security documentation
- Report any security concerns or irregularities immediately
- Maintain accurate records of screened freight
- Work closely with warehouse and operational teams
- Ensure a high level of attention to detail throughout the screening process
- Maintain a safe, secure and compliant working environment
Requirements
- Previous X-ray screening experience is essential
- Previous experience within freight, cargo, aviation or a similar environment
- Good understanding of security procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and concentration
- Ability to work accurately in a busy environment
- Reliable and able to work the full night-shift pattern
- Good communication and teamwork skills
