We have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Clerk to work for a medium-sized forwarder. Working within an established team, previous freight pricing experience is required for the role. This is a maternity cover contract. The role requires air pricing experience and any ocean/road advantage.

Role Involves:

  • Speaking with suppliers, airlines, shipping line hauliers, etc., negotiating rates and contracts
  • Daily quoting one-off quotes, tenders, and RFQs for air and ocean
  • Working mainly with overseas network partners
  • Working on Cargo Wise – an added benefit
  • Building and maintaining relationships with overseas network agents
  • Bringing in new business through relationship building
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Pricing and spot quotes to network agents, UK customers, and overseas customers
  • Creating tariffs and quote packs for ongoing agents and customers
  • Managing pricing aspects within Cargo Wise
  • Regular liaison with agents, customers, and business development activities
  • Regular meetings with airlines, hauliers, and suppliers to build relationships
  • Regular team meetings to discuss work and targets

Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm. Salary depends on experience.
