We are working with an established forwarder who are looking to recruit an International Freight Operations Coordinator. The role will support the International Operations team in the day-to-day management of international shipments, customs activity, export documentation, and VIP customer reporting. Based at our Sunbury site, the role will involve working across both Imports and Exports, with a particular focus on MENA markets, liaising with consular companies, and ensuring customs and shipping documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage export documentation for international shipments, including shipments to MENA markets.
- Liaise with consular companies, carriers, and customs authorities to ensure compliance with export requirements.
- Complete customs entries accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the administration and coordination of a VIP customer account.
- Create and maintain KPI packs and performance reports for VIP customers.
- Answer telephones and provide information and assistance to callers.
- Carry out general administrative duties in support of the international operations function.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of international shipping, customs processes, and export compliance requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an international logistics, freight forwarding, customs, or operations administration role.
- Experience completing customs entries is essential.
- Experience preparing export documentation for international shipments.
- Experience working with MENA markets and consular documentation would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- IT literate and a competent user of business systems and Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
