We are working with a Global, prestigious Freight and Logistics organisation who are seeking a Customs Freight Operator to join their thriving Freight Operations. This is initially to commence as a 12 month contract though could become a permanent role.
We are seeking candidates who have previous experience in a Customs Import Logistics, Freight or Supply Chain role who is keen to pursue a career within a Customs role.
The position of Customs Freight Operator is to work alongside the Airfreight and Roadfreight Export operations teams to clear all freight through customs, complying with customs procedures and regulations.
Duties of the Customs Broker may include:
- Prepare and produce paperwork for customs and airlines.
- Monitor outbound flights and cover European Road Freight planning.
- Ensure shipment procedures are adhered to accordingly.
- Maintain and update data on internal systems.
- Liaise with airlines, road hauliers, UK-wide branches, warehouses.
- General administration as and when required.
