The role of Ocean Freight Export & Import Operator is working for a Global multimodal Freight Forwarding and Logistics organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with previous experience within the Freight Forwarding and Ocean Freight operations. Seeking a candidate who has experience of Export and/or Import operations for end-to-end Ocean freight shipments, FCL and LCL shipments.
Duties will include:
- Managing key account customers.
- Responsible for the end-to-end Export & Import process, from bookings & pre-alert through to delivery.
- Preparing quotations/rates and working with in-house tariffs.
- Raising Export shipping documentation.
- Arranging and processing import bookings.
- Preparing import customs declarations to handover to the brokerage department.
- Entering Export Customs Entries.
- Responsible for billing out and invoicing shipping files.
- Working closely with customers, keeping them updated.
- Tracking and Tracing Ocean freight shipments.
- Liaising with overseas partners, agents and offices.
- Handling Ocean freight Export & Import, FCL and LCL shipments.
This role requires a candidate who:
- Has notable experience within Ocean Freight shipping operations.
- Experience of handling Shipping documentation, Certs of Origin and Bills of Lading etc.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and commercial awareness.
- A strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in a customer-focused environment.
The successful candidate will need to have a clean criminal record and a 5-year checkable work history.
