This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Airfreight Export & Import Operator to join a privately owned Freight Forwarding organisation who has a global presence and is growing and expanding globally. An immediate opening is available for an experienced Airfreight Export & Import operator who has hands-on experience of handling day-to-day operations, including Dangerous Goods shipments. Working Monday to Friday, paying up to £35,000 and an exciting opportunity to join a company at a time of growth and expansion.
Joining a successful, busy and efficient Freight office.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Arranging Airfreight Export (70%) and Import (30%) shipments
- Making bookings and gaining rates from airlines
- Cutting Airfreight documentation
- Arranging collections and deliveries
- Liaising with carrier airlines, customers, overseas agents, hauliers
- Handling Dangerous Goods airfreight shipments
- Completing all freight administration
- Answering airfreight queries and enquiries
- Tracking and tracing airfreight shipments through to its final destination
- Checking carrier invoices and passing files through to accounts for invoicing
This role will suit a candidate who has experience in working in Import & Exports and Airfreight operations with a strong commercial awareness, who possesses excellent communication and customer service skills. Dangerous Goods trained would be desired.
