We have an exciting opportunity for a UK TRANSPORT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to join an organisation with an excellent reputation promoting their National Transport services. Covering a national territory, the role will be based from the Midlands UK Head Office and is offering a salary of £40,000 basic, fully expensed company car, laptop, mobile, pension, bonus etc.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience of working in UK DOMESTIC TRANSPORT SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, sourcing leads, liaising with prospective customers, arranging and attending sales meetings, discussing their current transport levels & offering transport solutions, negotiating to gain new business.

This role requires strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to present integrated supply chain solutions that meet customer needs.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across transport and logistics services.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets.
  • Generate leads, conduct client meetings, prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, service contracts, and commercial terms in line with company policies.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Build, maintain, and grow long-term relationships with clients in key industries.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact, resolving issues in collaboration with operations and customer service teams.

Internal Collaboration: Work with Operations, Fleet Management, Planning, Warehousing, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution of new accounts.
