Position Title: Breakfast ChefDepartment: KitchenReports To: Executive Chef POSITION OVERVIEWLead a section of the kitchen during breakfast service to exceed guest satisfactionTrain and develop Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSResponsibilitiesHACCAP – To follow the day to day procedures including; Diligence, food labelling, weekly deep clean of your sectionRun an environment that is clean, tidy and organised at all times. Promoting morals that encourage a team to have pride in their working environment and a high level of commitmentControl, with the assistance of the senior chefs, all the operating costs within all the food outlets to the agreed budgets set for your section. Including stock control, stock rotation and ordering.Plan the day-to-day running of your section effectively to meet the service by the department. This will mean constant training, supervision, and forecasting in line with the hotels business needs.Ensuring that the stock control, stock rotation and ordering for your section is complete to the Executive Chef standards.Supervise, train and develop the team to ensure a gradual succession and learning path for everyone by delegating tasks to team membersHave a flexible ability to respond to business and client needsFollow and abide by all regulations, policies and proceduresHelp protect the property from theft and damage of goods using good working practice within the kitchens and making sure procedures are followed to prevent this from happening.Lead the team as per the companys values and ensure a high level of team morale.Suggest new menu and or recipe ideas to the senior chefs in charge.Ensure daily food preparation meets recipe and specification index i.e. size, quantity and quality Health & SafetyComply with all statutory and company health and safety, fire, bomb and security regulationsEnsure job required certificates and Licensing knowledge is kept up to dateEnsure other team members are also made aware of these requirements and abide by them FlexibilityAlong with your main duties you may be asked to complete other tasks and duties as and when necessary and reasonably requiredYou may on occasion be required to adjust your hours of work to cover the business need QUAIFICATIONS & DESIRABLESNVQ Level 2&3COSHH1st AidPrevious experience in a similar establishmentFood, hygiene and safetyGood verbal and written EnglishGeneral kitchen and food knowledgeGood organisational skillsFlexible ability to respond to business and client needs Salary: £31,952Please note you will also receive service charge of £3.5k to £4k on top of your annual salaries **If you have not heard back from us within 7 working days please assume you have been unsuccessful** JBRP1_UKTJ
