EXPORT ROADFREIGHT OPERATOR – EXPORTS

European Road Freight / Freight Forwarding / Groupage & Full Load
Seeking to recruit an EXPORT ROADFREIGHT OPERATOR to busy Freight team based in Birmingham. The role is a hybrid role offering a 2/3 days in the Birmingham based office. Our client provides Roadfreight services throughout the UK and Europe, offering Import and Export services, for Full Load, Part Load and Groupage freight. The new vacancy is in their Export division.
The day to day duties will include:
- Taking bookings and enquiries
- Obtaining rates from hauliers and network partners
- Booking freight
- Arranging collections and deliveries
- Creating running sheets and manifests
- Completing Export documentation
- Preparing Export Clearances
- Updating system and spreadsheets
- Speaking with customers via email and telephone
- Rescheduling deliveries and collections
- Liaising with the warehouse team for loading and unloading vehicles
- Billing out shipment files
The successful candidate will ideally have worked in Export European Roadfreight, possess excellent communication and customer service skills and be a team player, able to work well with colleagues, carriers/partners and customers. Full training on the systems and processes available for the right candidate.
