Our client, a leading international Freight Forwarder, is currently looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join their busy Service Centre in Basildon. This is a temporary position to support our client during their busy peak period, starting in October.
You will be the first point of contact for both internal and external customers, providing a professional, efficient and high level of customer service while ensuring company procedures, compliance requirements and performance targets are met.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm
Pay Rate: £13.55 per hour
The Role:
- Act as the first point of contact for all internal and external customers contacting the Service Centre.
- Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
- Respond to customer queries in line with company standards and procedures.
- Deal professionally with customers visiting the Service Centre.
- Respond to problem shipments and ensure redistribution is arranged in accordance with company standards.
- Act as the Service Centre receptionist.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
- Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the Service Centre.
- Use a range of computer systems and applications as part of your daily duties.
- Plan and organise your workload to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Manage day-to-day tasks and seek support when required.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve service and performance targets.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure consistently high service levels.
- Follow all company procedures, including Health & Safety and Working Time regulations.
- Maintain a professional appearance, including wearing the required uniform and ID pass.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.

Additional Information:
This is a temporary position to support our client during their busy peak period, starting in October. Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and five years of employment/reference history checks following the initial interview stage.
