We have an exciting opportunity for a freight forwarder to join our team as an Air Import Customer Operations Agent. The role focuses primarily on Air Imports with some Road Import duties, requiring excellent customer service and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present quotes for primarily Air and some Road consignments.
  • Provide Customer Service Excellence through verbal and written communications.
  • Complete assigned tasks within agreed timeframes.
  • Book and sell shipments according to both customer and client schedules.
  • Ensure data and security integrity of customer and client information.
  • Coordinate with other offices and groups.
  • Coordinate transport with UK and overseas approved strategic service partners.
  • Provide guidance on appropriate paperwork for customs clearance.
  • Prepare and coordinate all freight documentation including airway bills, Shipping Certificates, Health Certificates, Import & Export Licenses, Customs Entry Documentation, and other supporting documents.
  • Prepare and complete Customs Control submissions for imports.
  • Work with all types of cargo and associated tasks.
  • Use company vehicles on occasion to deliver and collect paperwork or shipments.
  • Undertake training courses required to understand and complete job tasks.
  • Co‑ordinate group project tasks as directed.
  • Apply temperature control experience for pharmaceutical shipments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in UK and international freight, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Temperature control experience related to pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.

Hours

Monday‑Friday, either 08:00‑16:30 or 09:30‑18:00.
